Headcanon: While Rhys was trapped Under the Mountain and the IC in Velaris, Cassian and Azriel would go to a park every Solstice for their snowball war. They always built a third fort for Rhysand, and didn’t start until it was fully stocked with snowballs. For 49 years, they would return at night and inform Mor that he’d won again.

Why is nobody talking about ACOFAS chapter 3…..?
We learn more of Cassian’s mother and how Cassian did everything he could, including killing the village that made her an outcast, that killed her, to find out where she was buried so that he could put her to rest in Velaris. So that she could be surrounded by kindness and warmth and light, even in her death.
“So training these women, giving them the resources and confidence to fight back, to look beyond their campfires…it was for her. For the mother buried here, perhaps buried nowhere. So it might never happen again.”
Cassian decided to start training Illyrian women so what happened to his mother wouldn’t happen to them.
